Privacy Policy
(Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012)
LF LENDING SERVICES CORPORATION. (SEC Registration [NO.CS202001294], Certificate of Authority NO. 3225), operating under the name “LF Lending” in the Philippines, prioritizes the protection of your personal data in all our lending-related services. We urge you to carefully review this Privacy Notice to understand the scope, manner and purpose of our personal information processing. This notice is formulated to ensure that your personal data is processed in strict compliance with the Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012, DPA) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), as well as relevant financial regulatory requirements for lending institutions.
By accessing, registering an account, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice. Where required by law or platform policy, we will request your specific consent before collecting or processing certain categories of personal data.
This policy comes into effect as of 00:00 on February 27, 2026. Your continued use of LF Loans services means your ongoing consent to the terms stated in this policy, and any subsequent changes to this policy (if any updates occur) are also applicable.
Personal Data Collection and Usage
Device Information
Purpose: LF Lending collects limited device information to verify your device, protect your account, prevent fraudulent loan applications, detect abnormal device environments, and maintain the security and reliability of loan-related operations.
When Used: Device information may be collected when you register or log in, submit a loan application, request a credit limit adjustment, change your login device, or perform other sensitive account or loan-related operations.
Data Collected: The device information we collect may include device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, Android ID where available and permitted, device language, network type, device security status, and basic app operation logs. We do not collect IMEI, IMSI, call logs, or contact data through device information processing.
Protection: All device information is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Device risk records are retained only for as long as necessary for account security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Routine device risk records are generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required for fraud investigation, regulatory compliance, or legal obligations.
User Control: You may limit certain device-related data collection by adjusting your device settings, such as location, advertising ID, or network permissions where applicable. However, some basic device and security information is necessary for account protection, fraud prevention, and loan service security, and may still be processed when you use LF Lending services.
Camera Access
Purpose: LF Lending uses camera access only for identity verification and fraud prevention. Specifically, the camera may be used to capture your government-issued ID document and perform a liveness check or selfie verification to confirm that the applicant is the real account holder and to prevent impersonation, identity fraud, and unauthorized loan applications.
When Used: The camera is activated only when you manually start the in-app identity verification process, such as taking a photo of your ID document, taking a selfie, or completing a liveness check. LF Lending does not activate the camera in the background, does not continuously record, and does not use the camera without your explicit action.
Data Collected: The data collected through the camera may include images of your government-issued ID document, selfie images, and, where required by the liveness verification process, limited liveness detection data. These data are used only for identity verification, fraud prevention, account security, and compliance with applicable lending and customer due diligence requirements.
Protection: Photos and liveness verification data captured through the camera are encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. LF Lending will not sell, rent, or disclose your images to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. We may share such data only with our contracted identity-verification service providers, who are bound by data protection obligations, or with competent authorities where required by Philippine law, regulatory requirements, or legal process.
Permission Control: Camera permission is requested only when you start the identity verification feature. You may deny or revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings. However, if camera access is denied or revoked, you may be unable to complete identity verification, which may affect your ability to submit or complete a loan application.
File Upload via System Picker
Purpose: LF Lending allows you to voluntarily upload specific files or images for identity verification, loan application review, repayment confirmation, or customer support. These files may include supplementary identity documents, proof of payment, or screenshots related to a service issue.
When Used: This feature is used only when you actively choose to upload a file or image in the LF Lending app. LF Lending does not request broad photo, video, media, or external storage permissions, and does not scan, read, or access your photo gallery, videos, or files stored on your device.
Data Collected: We only receive the specific file or image that you select and submit through the Android system picker, file picker, or other platform-provided upload mechanism. We do not collect other photos, videos, files, album metadata, or media library contents from your device.
Protection: The files you upload are encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Uploaded files are used only for the purpose for which they were submitted, such as identity verification, repayment confirmation, dispute handling, or customer support. We retain these files only for as long as necessary to process your request, unless a longer retention period is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, regulatory obligations, dispute resolution, or loan recordkeeping.
User Control: You decide whether to upload a file or image. Because LF Lending uses the system picker or file picker, you can select only the specific file you want to submit. If you do not upload the required document or proof, this may affect our ability to complete identity verification, process your loan application, verify repayment, or resolve your support request.
Approximate Location
Purpose: LF Lending may collect approximate location information, with your consent, to confirm service availability within the Philippines, detect unusual or cross-regional account activity, prevent fraud, and support account and transaction security.
When Used: Approximate location may be collected when you register or log in, submit a loan application, request a credit limit adjustment, perform repayment-related operations, or access region-specific services provided by LF Lending.
Data Collected: We collect approximate location data only, such as coarse location signals or obfuscated latitude and longitude with limited precision. LF Lending does not request or collect precise GPS location.
Protection: Approximate location data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Routine location risk records are generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required for fraud investigation, account security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or regulatory obligations.
User Control: You may disable location access for LF Lending at any time through your device settings. Disabling approximate location access will not affect basic account access, but it may limit our ability to verify loan-related transactions, detect abnormal account activity, prevent fraud, or provide region-specific services.
Emergency Contact Information
Purpose: LF Lending may collect emergency contact information to support account verification, account recovery, identity confirmation, fraud prevention, and lawful repayment-related communication when necessary.
When Used: Emergency contact information is provided only when you manually enter it or actively select a specific contact through a system-provided contact picker. LF Lending does not request access to your device contact list, does not scan your address book, and does not use the Android Contacts permission.
Data Collected: The emergency contact information we collect may include the contact’s name, mobile number, relationship to you, and other information you voluntarily provide for account verification or repayment-related communication.
Use Limitation: We may contact your emergency contact only when reasonably necessary, such as for account recovery, identity confirmation, fraud prevention, or lawful repayment-related communication. We will not use emergency contact information for marketing, advertising, harassment, public disclosure, public shaming, or unrelated purposes.
Protection: Emergency contact information is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. We will not sell, rent, or disclose emergency contact information to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes. We may disclose such information only where required by Philippine law, regulatory requirements, legal process, or to authorized service providers who are contractually required to protect the data and use it only for the stated purpose.
User Responsibility: Before providing emergency contact information, you should ensure that the contact is aware that their information may be submitted to LF Lending for the purposes described above.
Installed Applications Metadata
Purpose: LF Lending may collect limited installed applications metadata to assess device risk, detect potentially unsafe device environments, prevent fraudulent loan applications, protect user accounts, and maintain the security of loan-related operations.
When Used: Installed applications metadata may be collected when you register or log in, submit a loan application, request a credit limit adjustment, change your login device, or perform other sensitive account or loan-related operations that require fraud prevention or risk assessment.
Data Collected: The data collected may include limited metadata of applications visible to LF Lending under Android package visibility rules, such as app name, package name, version name, version code, installation time, and last update time. LF Lending does not collect app content, in-app usage history, messages, files, screenshots, browsing history, or personal data stored inside other applications.
Permission and Scope Limitation: LF Lending does not scan all applications installed on your device. The app only processes limited application metadata that is visible under Android package visibility rules or otherwise permitted by the Android operating system and Google Play policies.
Protection: Installed applications metadata is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. It is used only for fraud prevention, device risk assessment, account security, and loan-related risk control. Routine application risk records are generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required for fraud investigation, account security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or regulatory obligations.
User Control: Installed applications metadata is used only for account security and fraud prevention in connection with LF Lending services. You may stop further collection by discontinuing use of the app or requesting account deletion, subject to any data we are legally required to retain for fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, or loan recordkeeping.
Financial SMS Data Processing
Purpose: With your explicit consent, LF Lending may process limited financial-related SMS data to support credit assessment, affordability assessment, fraud prevention, repayment verification, and account security. We do not use SMS data for advertising, marketing, contact discovery, or unrelated purposes.
When Used: Financial SMS data may be processed when you submit a loan application, request a credit limit adjustment, or perform other loan-related risk assessment actions. SMS data is not collected continuously in the background and is processed only after you provide permission and take a loan-related action that requires risk assessment.
Data Collected: LF Lending does not collect all SMS messages. Where permitted and with your explicit consent, the app applies filtering rules to identify financial-related messages only. The data collected is limited to message timestamp, sender identifier, and relevant financial transaction content, such as banking transactions, digital payment confirmations, loan disbursement notices, repayment confirmations, and credit service alerts.
Data Excluded: LF Lending excludes personal conversations, promotional messages, marketing messages, unrelated notifications, non-financial OTPs, and messages that are not relevant to credit assessment, repayment verification, fraud prevention, or account security. Messages older than 110 days are excluded from processing.
Filtering Method: Filtering is performed using financial transaction patterns and financial keywords, such as “account,” “cash,” “payment,” “transfer,” “loan,” “repayment,” “fund,” and similar terms. Only SMS records matching financial-risk assessment criteria are processed for the purposes described above.
Protection: Financial SMS data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely on our authorized servers. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and systems that support credit assessment, fraud prevention, repayment verification, dispute handling, legal compliance, and regulatory obligations. Routine financial SMS risk records are generally retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required for fraud investigation, loan recordkeeping, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or regulatory obligations.
User Control: You may deny or revoke SMS permission at any time through your device settings. If SMS permission is denied or revoked, LF Lending will not process financial SMS data from your device. However, this may limit our ability to complete credit assessment, verify repayment-related information, detect fraud, or process certain loan-related requests.

The profiling is based on your personal data, loan application information, and credit history (in cooperation with licensed credit bureaus).
You may object to such automated profiling processing at any time by contacting our DPO. However, please note that objection to profiling may prevent us from providing you with lending services, as we will not be able to conduct a reasonable credit and risk assessment for your loan application.
